48. AMENDMENT TO IGA WITH THE STATE OF ARIZONA FOR OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AND/OR INTERSECTION LIGHTS Approve Amendment No. 1 to Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA), A.G. Contract 77-568, between the State of Arizona through the Arizona Department of Transportation and Maricopa County, through Maricopa County Department of Transportation for operations and maintenance activities of 14 traffic signals and/or intersection lights as describe in the amendment. The original IGA was approved by Maricopa County on August 8, 1977 (C-3871) filed with the Secretary of State on September 21, 1977. Amendment No. 1 becomes effective as of the date it is approved by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. The locations that were annexed were dropped from MCDOT’s utility billing when the individual agencies annexed the intersections. The signals ADOT turned over to MCDOT were already on our bill. This process was implemented to amend the list of intersections as part of a standard review of the IGA in the file. (C-91-11-138-M-00)

88. RESCIND BOARD APPROVAL FOR THE AMENDMENT TO IGA WITH THE STATE OF ARIZONA FOR OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AND/OR INTERSECTION LIGHTS Rescind the action taken by the Board on February 23, 2011, which approved agenda C-91-11-138-M-00 for Amendment No. 1 to Intergovernmental Agreement A.G. Contract 77-568 between the State of Arizona through the Arizona Department of Transportation and Maricopa County, through Maricopa County Department of Transportation for operations and maintenance activities of 14 traffic signals and/or intersection lights as described in the amendment. There is no financial impact since there are sufficient funds in the operating budget (Fund 232) for all electrical energy costs to operate the listed traffic signals and/or intersection lighting.
