46. BID AND AWARD FOR PAVEMENT PRESERVATION (PAVE) PROJECT: GILBERT ROAD - LOW FLOW CROSSING AT SALT RIVER Approve the solicitation of bids for the Maricopa County Department of Transportation's Pavement Preservation (PAVE) Project: Gilbert Road – Low Flow Crossing at Salt River, Sub-Project No. T285; and approve the award to the lowest responsive bidder, provided that the lowest responsive bidder does not exceed the engineer’s estimate by ten percent. The construction consists of improvements to existing northbound Gilbert Road just north of Thomas Road. The detail scope description includes installation of new pavement, construction of gabion baskets and other drainage improvements. This project will be procured in accordance with the mandate set forth in the Maricopa County Procurement Code, Article 5, and Section 504. Supervisor District No. 2 (C-91-11-146-5-00)
