55. DELEGATE AUTHORITY TO DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES MANAGEMENT TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS WITH MARICOPA COUNTY AIR QUALITY DEPARTMENT Delegate to the Director of Facilities Management the authority to enter into agreements with the Maricopa County Air Quality Department as necessary to affect the delivery of services for County buildings and facilities, and to effectuate agreements for settlement of issues arising from the delivery of those services necessary for the operations of the departments or districts operating within those County buildings and facilities. This authority includes, but is not limited to, signing applications for various permits, execution of orders of abatement, and applications for permits for work related to construction activities as needed by the department. This delegation is limited to the situations where Maricopa County Air Quality Department is the authority having jurisdiction. In the course of normal operations and maintenance for existing facilities and as a result of the construction of or the leasing of new facilities, there are several circumstances that necessitate the execution of new or revised permits and agreements that are issued by Maricopa County Air Quality Department. An example of these circumstances are when a department or district requires the installation of a new or re-permitting of an existing generator in order to meet the mission of that department or district. In all cases, the permitting responsibility lies with the Maricopa County Air Quality Department. The documents are provided in standard format, have been reviewed as to form by legal counsel for the County, and outline each party's financial responsibilities associated with the individual documents. Facilities Management is responsible for any fees associated with the permits and other agreements. (C-91-11-179-3-00)
