64. IGA WITH THE CITY OF PHOENIX FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO BASELINE ROAD FROM 49TH AVENUE TO 47TH AVENUE Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Maricopa County, acting through the Maricopa County Department of Transportation (County) and the City of Phoenix (City) for roadway improvements to Baseline Road from 49th Avenue to 47th Avenue. The County’s cost share responsibility is $463,000. Funds are budgeted in the Public Works (910) Transportation Capital Projects Fund (234) Partnership Support (PSUP) Project, Sub-Project T003, Special Projects. The project was recommended by the Transportation Advisory Board (TAB) under the FY 2011 TAB Special Project Fund. The City of Phoenix is the lead agency of this project. The scope of work will include pavement widening, construction of curb and gutter and sidewalks and the addition of a storm drain connection. The project will relieve a bottleneck in the area and alleviate several safety issues. Upon completion of the project, the City will annex the project area.
