69. IGA WITH THE CITY OF SURPRISE FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO PEORIA AVENUE FROM SARIVAL AVENUE TO REEMS ROAD Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement between Maricopa County, acting through the Maricopa County Department of Transportation (County) and the City of Surprise (City) for roadway improvements to Peoria Avenue from Sarival Avenue to Reems Road. The County’s cost share responsibility is $360,000. Funds are budgeted in the Public Works (910) Transportation Capital Projects Fund (234) Partnership Support (PSUP) Project, Sub-Project T003, Special Projects. The project was recommended on September 21, 2010 by the Transportation Advisory Board (TAB) under the FY 2011 TAB Special Project Fund. The City of Surprise is the lead agency of this project. The City is improving the north side of Peoria Ave as part of a separate City-funded project. The scope of work will include pavement widening on the south side of the roadway to complete the minor arterial improvements. Upon completion of the project, the City will annex the project area.
