29. AMENDMENT TO IGA WITH TOWN OF GUADALUPE FOR CALLE VAUO NAWI STREET IMPROVEMENTS Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Intergovernmental Agreement between Maricopa County (County) and the Town of Guadalupe (Guadalupe) for improvements to Calle Vauo Nawi. The estimated total cost of the Project is $290,840. The County’s cost share responsibility is $290,840. Funds are budgeted in the Public Works (910) Transportation Capital Projects Fund (234) Partnership Support (PSUP) Project, Sub-Project T009, Small Cities Transportation Assistance Program (SCTAP). The purpose of this amendment is to allow Guadalupe to use project savings that was actualized by Guadalupe upon completion of the original project improvements. The Parties originally entered into an agreement on July 6, 2011 for improvements to Calle Vauo Nawi, which was funded through the Small Cities Transportation Assistance Program (SCTAP) in the amount of $290,840. The project was completed in October 2011 with a final cost of $245,505, resulting in savings of $45,335. Guadalupe requested to use the savings to install speed humps on Calle Vauo Nawi and at other various locations within Guadalupe, and also to pave nearby Calle Carmen (an intersecting dirt road). On November 15, 2011 the Maricopa County Transportation Advisory Board (TAB) voted to recommend that the County approve the reallocation of the savings for additional improvements in Guadalupe.
