112. CHANGE IN TRAFFIC CONTROLS ON MARICOPA COUNTY ROUTE 85 (MC85) Approve a change in traffic controls (Speed Limits) on unincorporated right-of-way at the following location: A 50 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE (from a 55 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) on Maricopa County Route 85 from .16 miles east of Dysart Road to 119th Avenue. (This partially rescinds the 55 MPH speed limit zone dated August 1, 1991). A 45 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE (from a 55 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) on Maricopa County Route 85 from 119th Avenue to .10 miles east of 115th Avenue/Avondale Boulevard. (This rescinds the 55 MPH speed limit zone dated August 1, 1991). A 50 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE (from a 45/55 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) on Maricopa County Route 85 from 107th Avenue to 75th Avenue. (This partially rescinds the 45 MPH speed limit zone and rescinds the 55 MPH speed limit zone dated August 1, 1991). This agenda item is the result of a completed MCDOT Safety Improvement Project to reduce speeds in areas that have changed from rural to urban. Supervisory District No. 4 (C-91-12-008-M-00)
