131. IGA WITH THE TOWN OF CAVE CREEK FOR OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement (Agreement) between Maricopa County, acting through the Maricopa County Department of Transportation (County) and the Town of Cave Creek (Cave Creek) for the operation and maintenance of four traffic signals that lie within the jurisdictional boundaries of Cave Creek. There is no direct cost to the County associated with this Agreement, however, Cave Creek will annually remit payment to the County for all costs associated with the operation, maintenance and replacement of all associated equipment. The purpose of this Agreement is to authorize the County to operate and maintain the traffic signals owned by Cave Creek for a term not longer than five years unless both Parties agree to extend or terminate the Agreement. The County will be responsible to perform routine and emergency operation and maintenance of the identified traffic signals, as well as repair and replacement of damaged equipment, and will invoice Cave Creek annually for all costs associated with this work. Cave Creek will allow the County to properly operate and maintain these signals and will remit payment within thirty days of receipt of the County’s invoice. 54. AMENDMENT TO IGA WITH TOWN OF CAVE CREEK FOR OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS Approve the First Amendment to the Intergovernmental Agreement C-91-12-021-M-00 which was approved August 3, 2011, between Maricopa County and the Town of Cave Creek for the operation and maintenance of traffic signals in the Town of Cave Creek. The County and the Town desire to extend the term of the 2011 original agreement for an additional five (5) years for the operation and maintenance of the traffic signals in the Town of Cave Creek and invoice the Town for annual service. This amendment will only change the length of the agreement. All other terms of the 2011 IGA will remain in effect. This First Amendment shall become effective as of the date it is approved by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and the Cave Creek Town Council. Supervisory District No. 3 (C-91-12-021-M-01)
