59. DESIGN PROFESSIONAL CONTRACT WITH GABOR LORANT ARCHITECTS, INC. FOR DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE MCSO DEPARTMENTAL RELOCATIONS PROJECT Approve architectural design services contract (Contract No. 918-12-007) to Gabor Lorant Architects, Inc. in an amount not-to-exceed $7,497,045.16 for the design services for the MCSO Departmental Relocations Project including the special technology design and construction administration for the project. These services were anticipated during the procurement pursuant to Article 5 of the Procurement Code and were referenced in the Scope of Work in the Request for Qualifications and the Feasibility Study Request for Proposal. Design services approved here and provided by Gabor Lorant Architects, Inc. were originally specified by the preliminary programming Contract No. 918-11-041 This project has been recommended by the Facilities Review Committee and is located in District 5. CONTRACT HISTORY: Feasibility Study Contract (Contract No. 918-11-009): $381,283.10; dated 11/17/2010. Initial services included investigation and study of the feasibility of several locations and additional services for development of technology specifications. The scope expanded the Request for Qualifications initial scope specifications to include language for the (1) technology related services for the emergency communications relocation; (2) Develop technology specification for the procurement of CAD/RMS/Mobile, logging and recording, 911 telecommunications/computer telephony integration, networks: LAN and interconnections to MCSO/County WAN/Fiber/Microwave Networks, Audio Visual Systems, Security Systems, Consoles-Workstations, (3) Independent assessment of the vendor approach to the upgrade of the Radio System in collaboration with Materials Management and OET. Funding by OET. (4) RMS components (a) electronic ticketing, (b) pawn system replacement, (c) Livescan system replacement and (d) mobile computing devices.
