47. IGA WITH THE CITY OF MESA FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO IRON AVENUE FROM COUNTRY CLUB DRIVE TO THE EAST 2,200 FEET Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement (Agreement) between Maricopa County (County) and the City of Mesa (City) for Improvements to Iron Avenue from Country Club Drive to the East 2,200 Feet. The cost of the completed project totaled $998,502. The County’s cost share responsibility is $245,000. Funds are available in the Public Works (910) Transportation Capital Projects Fund (234) Partnership Support (PSUP) Project, Sub-Project T388, Iron Avenue IGA. The purpose of this Agreement is to identify and define both Parties’ respective roles for cost sharing of the Completed Project. The Parties entered into negotiations of this Agreement in 2008. This roadway was located in an unincorporated County island strip bounded on all sides by the City. The City subsequently annexed the area and completed the improvements in July 2010. Improvements included asphalt pavement, curbs and gutters, sidewalks, street lighting, and drainage facilities. The cost of the Completed Project totaled $998,502.
