54. AUTHORIZE APPLICATIONS FOR LAND USE LICENSES WITH CENTRAL ARIZONA WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT (AKA CENTRAL ARIZONA PROJECT) FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATION FACILITIES Approve submittal of applications to Central Arizona Water Conservation District (aka Central Arizona Project) for Land Use Licenses associated with establishing wireless communication facilities on Central Arizona Project controlled land at Burnt Mountain, Harquahala Mountain and Waddell Dam. Additionally, authorize reimbursement to Central Arizona Project for costs associated with application processing; and authorize the IT Senior Manager of the County’s Wireless Radio Department to execute and process the subject application documents on behalf of Maricopa County. As part of the County’s Radio System Upgrade Project, the subject applications with Central Arizona Project (“CAP”) are the first step in establishing CAP land uses licenses to allow the County to develop wireless radio facilities on CAP-controlled land at Burnt Mountain, Harquahala Mountain and Waddell Dam. As part of the CAP application process, the County will be required to reimburse CAP for CAP’s costs (not-to-exceed $20,000) for research, appraisals, plan review, document preparation, meetings, inspections, as-built review, project close-out and other CAP costs associated with processing the subject applications. A subsequent Board of Supervisors agenda item will be submitted for each of the anticipated CAP Land Use Licenses associated with the individual communication sites planned for Burnt Mountain, Harquahala Mountain and Waddell Dam.
