22. 2018 MARICOPA COUNTY WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD ANNUAL REPORT Approve the Maricopa County Workforce Development Board Annual report covering activities from July 1, 2017 thru June 30, 2018. Pursuant to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) a United States public law (H.R.803), Maricopa County is a designated Local Workforce Development Area (LWDA) by and thru the Arizona Governor’s Workforce Arizona Council (WAC). Through such designation the Maricopa County Workforce Development Board (MCWDB) is the recognized Local Workforce Development Board (LWDB) for Maricopa County and the Board of Supervisors (BOS) are the recognized Chief Elected Officials (CEOs).
