11. APPOINTMENT AND REPLACEMENT OF MARICOPA COUNTY WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD MEMBER Approval of the following actions regarding the Maricopa County Workforce Development Board (MCWDB) as set forth below: Appoint Arizona Department of Economic Security designee Ismial Rangel, Assistant Program Manager, Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES), replacing Mr. Christopher Tafoya to the DES Wagner- Peyser – WIOA Title III position of the Maricopa County Workforce Development Board, as Mr. Tafoya’s current professional position no longer fits the the Wagner- Peyser representation. Mr. Rangel’s appointment would be effective upon approval through June 30, 2024. The MCWDB is established and receives its authority in accordance with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), which was signed into law on July 22, 2014 as Public Law 113-128. The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors (BOS) shall have final authority. The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors approves the appointments, reappointments and accepts the resignations of MCWDB members. Supervisory District: All Districts (C-95-22-036-X-00)
