REQUEST TO INCREASE THE MAXIMUM THRESHOLD FOR THE COVID-19 TEMPORARY HOTEL HOUSING ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT Authorize an increase of $300,000 to Maricopa County’s master agreement (MA) # PHEM21001 bringing the total not to exceed amount to $5,493,153. This MA is tied to an Emergency contract created by Public Health in July 2020 in the amount of $193,153 in order to house individuals affected with COVID. The Board of Supervisors later authorized an additional $5,000,000 to be added to it under C-95-22-045-X-00. This emergency contract is scheduled to end June 30, 2022 and these funds shall be used to pay the monthly expenses plus any outstanding invoices once the contract ends. The hotel provides temporary housing including basic services to persons identified by the County as testing positive for COVID-19. The funding is from MCDPH’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) which had been authorized during the pandemic. (C-86-22-152-X-00)
