VPC DISCUSSION & RECOMMENDED STIPULATIONS:
Mr. David Simmons, staff, went over the proposal and highlighted several policy 
plans that support staff’s recommendation for approval including the General 
Plan. He shared that this case is within the Deer Valley Major Employment 
Center and lies within the boundaries of the Deer Valley Airport Overlay District, 
Area 1. He also shared that a previous rezoning case was recently approved for 
the site including the site abutting the east and south. The same applicant is 
requesting eh additional change to expand their use.  
Mr. Charles Eckert with Red Hawk Partners, LLC shared that he was the 
previous applicant on this site and the change is a result of his current use 
expanding. He shared that this is a high demand use in the area and will 
contribute to the growth of the corridor. He shared that collector cars would be 
the major component stored on this site but said there would be a few garages 
for R’s. He also shared that this will bring jobs to the area.  
MOTION: Mr. Ricardo Romero motioned to approve Z-11-20-1 per the staff 
recommendation. Committee member Mr. Mark Lewis seconded the motion. 
VOTE:  8-0, motion to approve passed, with Committee Members 
Grossman, Gardner, Greenberg, Levy, Lewis, O’Brien, Romero and Virgil in 
favor.
