Pilot Program to run from October 2025 – March 2026 in 600 & 700 Precincts. In Progress Phase 2 launched, July 2025, to include: 1. Conduct Pilot Program 2. Implement revised model following Pilot Program 3. Enhanced Call Diversion by Dispatchers 4. Review all Behavioral Health related policies 5. Prioritization of CIT Squad Estimated Total Project Timeline: 24 months 6. Youth Interactions Project 1. Development and implementation of Youth Survey 2. Draft Youth Interactions Policy 1. Survey created in Partnership with City Council, ran from end March to end July 2025. Over 2,270 surveys submitted, approximately 200 substantive comments In Progress Phase 2 launched, July 2025, to include: 1. Development & delivery of received. Comments under review for inclusion in Youth Interactions Policy and other relevant Police Department polices. 2. Draft Youth Interactions Policy created, pending update with feedback from Youth Survey. Public comment period September 2025. Associated Training to be developed. Anticipated launch of policy and associated training, January 2026. Youth Interactions Training 2. Launch of Youth Interactions Policy 3. Review/revision of Juvenile Procedures Policy 4. Development of extended Youth-related Training Estimated Total Project Timeline: 24 months 7. Systems of Accountability Project 1. Creation of Draft OAT Mediation Policy 2. Identification of Allegations Categories 3. Creation of business processes and associated complaint intake for PSB Field Investigations Unit 1. Policy currently under review by OAT 2. Allegations Categories approved – will enable accurate data collection of complaint types 3. PSB FIU business processes mapped and complaint intake forms created In Progress Phase 2 to include: 1. Adoption of Centralized Complaint Intake system 2. Review & Revision of all Systems of Accountability Policies including: • Administrative Investigations • Misconduct Investigations • Policy Violations Index • Critical Incident Review Board • Discipline Review Board Estimated Total Project Timeline: 30 months 8. Body-Worn Camera Project Aligned with City Audit recommendations: 1. Technical standards to improve risk mitigation through policy & technical aspects of BWC use 2. Supervision standards to improve early identification of performance risk & improvement Initial focus will be on Technical Standards In Progress Body-Worn Camera Project launched July 2025 and Work Group meetings are underway. Estimated Total Project Timeline: 14 months
