The Phoenix Police Department is working in partnership with the non-profit Law and Public
Safety Education Network (LAPSEN). LAPSEN provides and shares Law, Public Safety
, Corrections, and Security (LPSCS) career education programs, curriculum, certifications, a
nd models that help connect secondary students to continuing education and careers in law
enforcement.
The LAPSEN group is highlighting Phoenix Police because we are one of the few agencies
nationwide that has what they term “GAP” years covered, such as our offered internships an
d Cadet program. This partnership will enhance our long-term strategies for developing
pipelines and pathways.
