ATTACHMENT A To: City Council Date: April 15, 2020 From: Mayor Kate Gallego Subject: BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS – APPOINTEES The purpose of this memo is to provide recommendations for appointments to the following Boards and Commissions: Public Defender Review Committee I recommend the following individuals for appointment: Jaime Garcia Mr. Garcia is a private attorney and a member of Los Abogados Hispanic Bar Association. He fills a vacancy on the committee for a term to expire April 15, 2024. John Phebus Mr. Phebus is a private attorney and a member of Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice. He replaces Robert McWhirter on the committee representing Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice for a term to expire April 15, 2024. I recommend the following individuals for reappointment: Max Bessler Mr. Bessler will serve his second term to expire April 15, 2024. Terry Bublik Ms. Bublik will serve her third term to expire April 15, 2024. Cary Lackey Mr. Lackey will serve his second term to expire April 15, 2024. Thomas Moring Mr. Moring will serve his third term to expire April 15, 2024. Treasure VanDreumel Ms. VanDreumel will serve her second term to expire April 15, 2024.
