AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT 
BETWEEN 
MARICOPA COUNTY 
ADMINISTERED BY ITS 
HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT 
AND 
CITY OF EL MIRAGE 
 
I. 
Maricopa County (“County”), administered by its Human Services Department, entered 
into a financial Intergovernmental Agreement (“Agreement”) with the City of El Mirage 
(“Subrecipient”) on or about January 12, 2023. The Subrecipient and County are 
collectively referred to here as the “Parties” and individually as a “Party.” The purpose of 
the Agreement is for the Subrecipient to purchase a Class A Pumper Fire Apparatus to 
serve the residents of the City of El Mirage. The County provided the Subrecipient with 
$319,840 in U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community 
Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds under Assistance Listing Number (ALN) 14.218. 
The Agreement term began December 7, 2022, through November 1, 2024. 
 
II. 
The Parties agree to amend the Agreement by this Amendment No. 1 as follows: 
 
A. 
Increase Agreement funding amount by $200,000 from $319,840 to $519,840. 
Funding for this Amendment is provided under ALN 14.218, HUD CDBG Program 
Year/Fiscal Year 2022/2023.  
 
III. 
The Agreement is amended to incorporate the changes contained in this Amendment No. 
1. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain unchanged and in full 
force as approved and amended. 
 
IV. 
The Parties have authorized the undersigned to execute this Amendment No. 1 on their 
behalf, and it shall be effective upon approval and signature by both Parties.
