Committee Member Sonoskey joined the meeting during this item, bringing quorum to 13 members. STAFF PRESENTATION Anthony Grande, staff, provided a presentation regarding the proposed rezoning. Mr. Grande described the location of the request, the surrounding area, and the proposed zoning, in addition to summarizing the staff recommendation and stipulations. APPLICANT PRESENTATION Larry Lazarus, representing the applicant with Lazarus & Silvyn, P.C., provided a presentation describing the history of the parcel, surrounding zoning and land uses, and the proposal to maintain the parking on the subject site. QUESTIONS FROM COMMITTEE Committee Member Olivas asked about the difference between this proposal and the previous proposal for this site. Mr. Lazarus replied that the previous proposal was pursuing industrial zoning. MOTION Vice Chair Cyndy Gaughan made a motion to recommend approval of Z-103-23-8, per the staff recommendation. Jordan Greenman seconded the motion. VOTE 13-0; Motion to recommend approval of Z-103-23-8, per the staff recommendation, passed; Committee Members Burns, Burton, Greenman, R. Johnson, Lockhart, Martinez, Olivas, Panetta, Sonoskey, Starks, Vargas, Gaughan, and O’Grady in favor. STAFF COMMENTS REGARDING VPC RECOMMENDATION: None.
