ORDINANCE S-48549

AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF
THE CITY OF PHOENIX, ARIZONA, BY ANNEXING AN AREA
NOT WITHIN THE PRESENT LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
PHOENIX, DESIGNATED AS 19TH AVENUE AND PARSONS
ROAD ANNEXATION, NO. 507; FURTHER AUTHORIZING
CURRENT COUNTY ZONING TO CONTINUE IN EFFECT UNTIL
MUNICIPAL ZONING IS APPLIED TO THE ANNEXED
TERRITORY.

WHEREAS, pursuant to A.R.S. § 9-471, a petition in writing has been
presented to the City Council of the city of Phoenix signed by a sufficient number of
owners of certain real and personal property requesting annexation of their properties
to the city of Phoenix.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE .
CITY OF PHOENIX AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. That the corporate limits of the city of Phoenix be extended
to include the territory located at 19th Avenue and Parsons Road, parcels
210-10-020C, 210-10-020D, 210-10-031A, 210-10-027A and 210-10-010 as described
in Appendix A.

SECTION 2. That the map attached to this Ordinance as Appendix B is

an accurate map of the territory annexed and is adopted as the official map of the

territory. The map shows the legal boundaries and location of all avenues, streets,
alleys and lanes dedicated to public use for the purposes designated on said map.

SECTION 3. That the Mayor of the city of Phoenix is authorized and
directed to certify that said map accurately reflects the territory annexed under the
provisions of this Ordinance.

SECTION 4. That this Ordinance with a certified copy of said official map
attached shall be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Maricopa County,
Arizona.

SECTION 5. That upon the filing and recording of a copy of this
Ordinance, together with the attached official map in the office of the County Recorder
of Maricopa County, State of Arizona, the fee title of all avenues, lanes, streets,
highways, roads and alleys shown on said map shall vest in the city of Phoenix.

SECTION 6. That, pursuant to A.R.S. § 9-462.04(E), the county zoning
currently applied to this annexed territory shall continue in effect until municipal zoning
is applied to this annexed territory, but not longer than six months after this annexation.

SECTION 7. if any provision of this Ordinance shall be held invalid, its
invalidity shall not affect any other provision of this Ordinance which can be given
effect without the invalid provision, and for this purpose the provisions of this

Ordinance are hereby declared to be severable.
