STAFF PRESENTATION Anthony Grande, staff, provided an overview of the subject site and surrounding area, the proposed zoning, and the proposed development. Mr. Grande described the background of policies affecting the area, the staff findings, and staff recommendation of approval subject to stipulations. APPLICANT PRESENTATION Doug McCord, with Architectural Resource Team, provided background information, including information about Arizona Housing Inc., the applicant for the case. Mr. McCord described the request, noting that the applicant is seeking WU Code zoning to allow additional units financed through LIHTC, and reviewed elements of the site plan and elevations. QUESTIONS FROM THE COMMITTEE Janey Pearl Starks asked how many units would be affordable. Mr. McCord replied that the project would be 100 percent affordable. PUBLIC COMMENTS None. Ash Uss seconded the motion. VOTE 16-0, the motion to recommend approval per the staff recommendation passes; Committee Members Burns, Colyer, Gaughan, Johnson, R. Johnson, Lockhart, Martinez, Nervis, Rainey, Sherman, Sonoskey, Starks, Uss, Vargas, O’Grady, and Gonzales in favor. STAFF COMMENTS REGARDING VPC RECOMMENDATION: None.
