Attachment D Program Information Summaries Supporting a Family in Need A family participating in the Head Start Birth to Five program was experiencing financial hardship due to the pandemic. On February 7, the family received $7,335.60 in rental assistance thanks to coordinated efforts between caseworkers from Head Start and Community Services in the Human Services Department. The family was grateful and no longer worries about eviction. Parent Education On February 3, the four-week Your Journey Together training concluded. A total of 27 Head Start Birth to Five parents participated in the workshop series that provides parents with strategies and techniques to support their children as they develop socially and emotionally. During the last session, one parent shared she learned how to strengthen her child’s protective factors and her own. All participants received books and materials to continue supporting their children. You Can Fest 2022 On February 5, two staff from the Head Start Birth to Five program hosted a table at the third annual festival hosted by Ability 360 and the City of Phoenix at Telephone Pioneer of America park. The event brought awareness of local resources available for all abilities. Over 100 attendees enjoyed live music, adaptive games, and art activities.
