Program Information Summaries 
 
Head Start Birth to Five Recruitment Event 
On Sept. 17, the American Family Insurance Company hosted a resource fair at 
American Family Fields. More than 100 attendees received car seats, household 
cleaning supplies, diapers, and Head Start information from vendors and sponsors at 
the fair.   
 
On Sept. 14, Homeward Bound hosted a resource fair at its center in Phoenix. More 
than 65 attendees received community resources and information about Head Start.  
 
Heartfelt Message 
On Sept. 13, a Caseworker in the Early Head Start Home-Based program received this 
message from a parent who is moving out of the Head Start Birth to Five service area. 
 
“Thank you, Yolanda, for being a great Case Manager for my kids and me! You have 
tried to help me in every way possible with any questions and concerns I have, which 
was a lot! You helped me figure out what I should do to better help my kids, such as 
potty training and eating. And the kind of deep conversation we have about motherhood 
and parenthood will always be with me. I cannot thank you enough for all that you did 
for me. This is so bittersweet, and please always stay in touch! I will! I need friends, lol. 
This is not a farewell at all!”
