Dear Mr. Barton:
{t has been brought to our attention that the item titled, Phoenix Park Ranger Update, scheduled for discussion and
possible action by the Community and Cultural Investment Subcommittee on October 5, 2022, was withdrawn.
We are requesting this item be added to the Formal Agenda scheduled for Wednesday, October 12, 2022, for a vote to
immediately place additional security services in the Phoenix park system.
The safety of our residents and their families are of chief importance to us. The City of Phoenix is currently suffering
from a shortage of law enforcement officers and park rangers. This item would be a supplemental measure to support
the efforts of our park rangers and promote safety in our parks.
