1 Planning and Development Department CONDITIONAL APPROVAL – ABND 210060 Your abandonment request was granted CONDITIONAL APPROVAL. This request will NOT be completed until all the stipulations have been met and this request is formally adopted by City Council. It is the APPLICANT’S RESPONSIBILITY to ensure that all stipulations are satisfied. Please contact the Abandonment Coordinator at (602) 256-3487 for questions and notification of your completion of the stipulations. Upon completion of the stipulations your request will be scheduled for City Council formal approval. You will receive a copy of the abandonment document after it has been recorded with Maricopa County. If the stipulations of abandonment are not completed within two years from the date of your conditional approval (your expiration date is January 20, 2024), this request will then expire. At that time a new submittal will be required along with the required payment for the abandonment process. A one time, one year extension can be requested prior to the expiration date, with applicable extension fee due. ATTACHMENT B 2 Planning and Development Department January 20, 2020 Abandonment Staff Report: ABND 210060 Project# 21-1526 Quarter Section: 01-34 District#: 8 Location: 32nd Street and Highline Canal Applicant: Ryan Larsen Request to abandon: 7-foot Water Easement adjacent to and west of 32nd Street and the 25-foot Water and Sewer Easement adjacent to and north of South Mountain Avenue. Purpose of request: The applicant states there are no utility lines where the easement resides and that water lines run parallel in the right-of-way, therefore they believe it is unlikely these easements would be necessary in the future. 3 City Staff Comments and Recommendations: PDD Civil Reviewer – Roxanne Tapia “Recommend approval.” PDD Site Planning – Maggie Dellow “Water/Sewer facilities shall be moved out of the abandonment area.” Water Services Department – Don Reynolds “WSD has one stipulation for this abandonment. 1.
