Arizona Department of Administration – “Arizona 9-1-1 Program” Award Summary Recap 
Project Description:   
In 2024, the City of Buckeye Police Department upgraded their Public Safety Answering Point Next Generation 
9-1-1 communications through a co-operative agreement with AT&T. This grant funding will support Next 
Generation 9-1-1 services through AT&T.

Plans Once Grant Expires:  
 After all grant funds have been expended within the 12-month grant period of performance, the City 
of Buckeye will fund any other related costs from the General Fund as currently budgeted, unless 
alternative funding opportunities arise, which the Grants Team will pursue.  
 
Objectives and Expected Outcomes  
 The objective is to support the community and the Buckeye Police Department by sustaining their 
safety and communications through the continuation of the Public Safety Answering Point Next 
Generation 9-1-1 communications system. This system allows interconnection with the multitude of 
emergency response organizations statewide and increase communication capabilities.
