Council to take action on Resolution No. 74-26 approving Amendment # 1 to the Intergovernmental
Grant Agreement (IGA-ARPA-BUC-122324-01) between the City of Buckeye, an Arizona municipal
corporation, and the State of Arizona, the Office of the Governor; and authorizing the City Manager to
execute and deliver said Amendment and any related documents on behalf of the City of Buckeye.

SUMMARY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The existing agreement allows the State to terminate the Agreement for convenience.  By entering into
the Amendment # 1, certain reimbursement requests will still be reviewed for approval and payment, and
the remaining amounts may be redeployed by the Governor's Office.  The Governor's Office has
approved payment of reimbursement requests totaling approximately $169,741.25 in eligible project
costs. The City is requesting approval for the reimbursement of additional costs, up to $267,346.25.  
BENEFITS:
Approval of the amendment allows the City to receive reimbursement for eligible project costs incurred to
date while providing an orderly administrative closeout of the grant agreement. The amendment supports
timely reimbursement of City expenditures, and allows the Governor's Office to efficiently redeploy the
remaining ARPA funds.
FUTURE ACTION:
Staff will continue coordinating with the State to process reimbursement for eligible project costs
submitted to date.
FINANCIAL IMPACT STATEMENT:
The original agreement allowed for the reimbursement of up to $12,000,000 of eligible project costs.  The
City will be pausing construction of the associated infrastructure at this time. Approval of the amendment
will allow the City to receive reimbursement for eligible project costs submitted to date, up to
$267,346.25, subject to final verification.
