Council to hold a public hearing and take action on Resolution No. 53-26 adopting a final budget; setting
forth the receipts and expenditures and the amounts proposed to be raised by direct property taxation for
the various purposes for the fiscal year 2027.

SUMMARY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Council must conduct a public hearing to discuss, consider, and take action on approving the Final
Budget for fiscal year 2027. On May 19, 2026, Council approved Resolution No. 51-26 in the amount of
$765,436,200 as the Tentative Budget. Notice was published as required by law. Arizona Revised
Statutes provide that the total amounts proposed to be spent in the final budget shall not exceed the total
amounts that were proposed for expenditure in the adopted, published tentative estimates. 
BENEFITS:
This action satisfies the requirement set forth in Arizona Revised Statutes to annually adopt the fiscal
year 2027 Final Budget and sets forth the financial resources plan for the City of Buckeye's fiscal year
2027 service delivery programs. 
FUTURE ACTION:
Adoption of fiscal year 2027 Property Tax Levy on June 16, 2026. 
FINANCIAL IMPACT STATEMENT:
The Final Budget estimate for fiscal year 2027 is $765,436,200.
