SUMMARY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
On May 4, 2026, the City Manager's Recommended Budget was presented to the Mayor and Council.
This presentation included the operating budget for FY2027 and the Capital Improvement Program (CIP)
for FY2027-FY2031. It did not include carryover amounts for items budgeted for in FY2026 that will
carryover into FY2027.
State law requires the City annually approve and adopt the Tentative Budget to include estimates of all
revenues and expenditures, including carryover amounts. The Tentative Budget sets forth the financial
resources plan for the City of Buckeye's FY2027 service delivery programs and the Capital Improvement
Program (CIP). After approval, the Tentative Budget and state budget forms will be available for public
review and inspection. The Tentative Budget estimate for FY2027 is $765,436,200. The final budget is
scheduled to be heard on June 2, 2026.
BENEFITS:
This action satisfies the State law requirement to annually adopt a Tentative Budget and sets forth the
financial resources plan for Buckeye's FY2027 service delivery programs. 
FUTURE ACTION:
Publication of the Tentative Budget Resolution and State budget forms once a week for two (2) weeks as
follows:
June 2, 2026:     Public Hearing on the Final Budget
June 2, 2026:     Adoption of FY2027 Final Budget
June 16, 2026:   Adoption of FY2027 Property Tax Levy
FINANCIAL IMPACT STATEMENT:
The Tentative Budget estimate for FY 2027 is $765,436,200.
