RESOLUTION NO. 40-26 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BUCKEYE, 
ARIZONA, DECLARING AS A PUBLIC RECORD THAT CERTAIN DOCUMENT 
ON FILE WITH THE CITY CLERK ENTITLED THE “REVISED POLICY 400 
PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL CONDUCT;” ADOPTING THE SAME BY 
REFERENCE; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF CONFLICTING RESOLUTIONS 
AND PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY.    
 
WHEREAS, that certain document entitled the “Revised Policy 400 Professional and 
Personal Conduct,” of which at least three paper copies or one paper copy and one electronic 
copy are on file in the office of the City Clerk and open for public inspection during normal 
business hours, is hereby declared to be a public record and said copies are ordered to remain 
on file with the City Clerk; and 
 
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the City of Buckeye, Arizona (the “City Council”) 
are authorized pursuant to Section 3-3-3 of the Buckeye City Code to adopt by resolution rules 
and regulations for the City’s personnel, which rules and regulations may be modified or 
changed from time to time; and 
 
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interests of the City and 
its personnel to amend the Human Resources Policies and Guidelines Manual, Policy 400: 
Professional and Personal Conduct to authorize additional exceptions to the weapon prohibition.  
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Buckeye, Arizona, as follows: 
 
Section 1. 
The recitals set forth above are hereby incorporated as if fully set forth 
herein. 
 
Section 2. 
The City of Buckeye Human Resources Policies and Guidelines Manual 
Policy 400: Professional and Personal Conduct, is hereby revised in the form on file with the 
City Clerk.  
 
Section 3. 
All resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict with the provisions of 
this Resolution are hereby repealed.  
 
Section 4. 
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this 
Resolution is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of 
competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions 
thereof. 
 
Section 5. 
The Mayor, City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk are hereby 
authorized and directed to take all steps necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of this 
Resolution.
