RESOLUTION NO. 35-26 
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BUCKEYE, 
ARIZONA, 
APPROVING 
THE 
SECOND 
AMENDMENT 
TO 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT (ADOT CAR NO.: IGA 18-0007032-I) 
BETWEEN 
THE 
CITY 
OF 
BUCKEYE, 
AN 
ARIZONA 
MUNICIPAL 
CORPORATION, AND THE STATE OF ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF 
TRANSPORTATION, RELATING TO IMPROVEMENTS TO I-10 BETWEEN 
STATE ROUTE 85 AND VERRADO WAY; AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR 
TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER SECOND AMENDMENT TO SAID AGREEMENT. 
WHEREAS, pursuant to A.R.S. §§ 11-951 through 11-954, the City of Buckeye (“City”) 
and Arizona Department of Transportation (“ADOT”) are authorized to enter into a second 
amendment to Intergovernmental Agreement 18-0007032-I relating to improvements to I-10 
between State Route 85 and Verrado Way; and 
WHEREAS, the Intergovernmental Agreement, IGA 18-0007032-I, A.G. Contract No. 
P0012020001769 was executed on November 3, 2020, (the “Original Agreement”); and 
WHEREAS, the Amendment No. One to Original Agreement, (the “Amendment No 
One”), was executed on May 1, 2025; and 
WHEREAS, the State will coordinate with the City to Transition the traffic signal timing of 
the traffic signals at the I-10 and Verrado Street intersection and provide to the City, cabinet prints, 
timing cards, and intersection wiring diagrams and retain the maintenance responsibility of the 
traffic signals at I-10 and Verrado intersection including knockdowns, incident reports, and 
upgrades; and  
WHEREAS, the City will assume traffic signal timing responsibility of the traffic signals at 
the I-10 and Verrado Street Intersection. 
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Buckeye, Arizona, as follows: 
Section 1. 
The recitals above are hereby incorporated as if fully set forth herein. 
Section 2. 
The Amendment No. Two to Intergovernmental Agreement 18-0007032-I is 
hereby approved in the form on file with the City Clerk. 
Section 3. 
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute and deliver the 
Intergovernmental Agreement and related documents, and the Mayor, City Manager, City Attorney, 
and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to take all steps necessary to cause the 
execution and delivery of said Amendment and all documents and other necessary or desirable 
instruments connected with said Amendment, and to take all steps necessary to carry out the 
purpose and intent of this Resolution.
