ACTION/MOTION: (This language identifies the formal motion to be made by the Council) 
Council to take action on Resolution No. 39-26 approving Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) No. 26-
0011579-I between the State of Arizona, acting through its Department of Transportation and the City of
Buckeye, an Arizona municipal corporation; establishing a funding mechanism to provide reimbursement
to the City for certain staffing costs incurred in connection with its participation in the construction of the
Jackrabbit Trail Traffic Interchange and associated work on the Interstate 10 (I-10) widening project; and
authorizing the City Manager to execute and deliver said Agreement and any related documents on
behalf of the City of Buckeye.

SUMMARY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The City will participate in project meetings during the duration of the construction project, answer
questions from the ADOT Team regarding items impacting the City, participate in the development of the
GMP estimates created for the various phases of the project, and other items required on the City’s
behalf during the project construction. The City will have a representative at the table proactively working
with ADOT on the City's interest throughout the entirety of this project to help ensure the City has a voice
in the quality, timing, and resident impact decisions for this project.
BENEFITS:
This Agreement provides a funding mechanism to reimburse the City for applicable staffing costs
incurred while working with the ADOT Team on the construction of the Jackrabbit Trail TI and I-10
widening. The City is taking a proactive role in voicing the interest in quality, timing, and resident impact
decisions on a crucial infrastructure project while funding is provided through ADOT.
FUTURE ACTION:
There is no anticipated future action.
FINANCIAL IMPACT STATEMENT:
The agreement establishes a yearly not to exceed amount of $350,000 that the City may charge against.
The City will incur the costs and then invoice ADOT for reimbursement. 
CURRENT FISCAL YEAR TOTAL COST:
The estimated costs for FY26 would be approximately 1/6 of the annual costs (months of May and June),
which would be approximately $60,000. The City would then invoice ADOT for reimbursement. The FY27
cost would be an amount not to exceed of $350,000.
