RESOLUTION NO. 39-26 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BUCKEYE, 
ARIZONA, APPROVING INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT (IGA) NO. 26-
0011579-I BETWEEN THE STATE OF ARIZONA, ACTING THROUGH ITS 
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND THE CITY OF BUCKEYE, AN 
ARIZONA 
MUNICIPAL 
CORPORATION; 
ESTABLISHING 
A 
FUNDING 
MECHANISM TO PROVIDE REIMBURSEMENT TO THE CITY FOR CERTAIN 
STAFFING COSTS INCURRED IN CONNECTION WITH ITS PARTICIPATION IN 
THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE JACKRABBIT TRAIL TRAFFIC INTERCHANGE 
AND ASSOCIATED WORK ON THE INTERSTATE 10 (I-10) WIDENING 
PROJECT; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AND 
DELIVER SAID AGREEMENT AND ANY RELATED DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF 
OF THE CITY OF BUCKEYE.  
 
WHEREAS, the City of Buckeye (the “City”) and the State of Arizona, acting through its 
Department of Transportation (“ADOT”), have negotiated an Intergovernmental Agreement 
(IGA) No. 26-0011579-I to establish the terms and conditions under which ADOT will reimburse 
City for certain staffing costs incurred in connection with the construction of the Jackrabbit Trail 
traffic interchange and Interstate 10 (I-10) widening project; and  
 
WHEREAS, the City is authorized to enter into the Intergovernmental Agreement 
pursuant to A.R.S. § 11-952. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Buckeye, Arizona, as follows:  
 
Section 1. 
The recitals above are hereby incorporated as if fully set forth herein.  
 
Section 2. 
The Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) No. 26-0011579-I between 
ADOT and the City of Buckeye is hereby approved in substantially the form and substance on 
file with the City Clerk. 
 
Section 3. 
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute and deliver the 
Intergovernmental Agreement and related documents, and the Mayor, City Manager, City 
Attorney, and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to take all steps necessary to carry 
out the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
