Council to take action on Delivery Order No. 2 to the Job Order Contract (JOC) (Contract No. 2025109)
between the City of Buckeye, an Arizona municipal corporation, and Schofield Civil Construction LLC, an
Arizona limited liability company, for construction services related to the Tartesso Water Campus's new
treatment system; and authorize the City Manager to execute said Delivery Order on behalf of the City of
Buckeye, in an amount not to exceed $1,545,182.

SUMMARY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
On September 17, 2024, Council approved the contract with Purifics Water Inc. for the continuous ultra-
filtration (CUF) system which is anticipated to be delivered in May 2026. The new treatment system is
required because the Tartesso water system is experiencing elevated levels of arsenic and fluoride in the
raw water supply. To operate the wells without concern of exceeding the maximum contaminant levels
(MCL), treatment of both constituents is required. Through the use of the city’s JOC, Schofield will
construct a climate-controlled building for the CUF system, in an amount not to exceed $1,545,182.
BENEFITS:
Maintaining effective treatment systems for the ensured delivery of safe and reliable water services.
FINANCIAL IMPACT STATEMENT:
The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) No. 106100 "Tartesso Fluoride Treatment" ("Tartesso Arsenic
Treatment" in Munis) has a total FY26 budget of $6,483,600.

The total FY26 cost for this contract is $1,545,182.
