Council to take action on the cancellation of the Regular City Council Meeting scheduled for March 17,
2026.
SUMMARY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The City of Buckeye Municipal Code, Section 2-4-1, authorizes the cancellation of regular meetings,
when appropriate, by majority vote of the City Council. The cancellation of the January 2, 2024 Regular
City Council Meeting will be legally posted. If for any reason action is required on an item, a Special City
Council Meeting will be scheduled.
City of Buckeye Municipal Code, Section 2-4-1 - Regular Meetings:
The council shall hold regular meetings on the first and third Tuesday of each month at six p.m.; provided
that when the day fixed for any regular meeting of the council falls upon a day designated by law as a
legal holiday, such meeting shall be held at the same hour on the next succeeding day not a holiday,
unless otherwise noticed by the city. When deemed appropriate any regular meeting date of the council
may be changed or cancelled by the mayor or by a majority of the council except that at least one regular
meeting a month must be held and that such notice of the cancelled or rescheduled meeting shall be
given to the public as is reasonable and practicable under the circumstances. All regular meetings of the
council shall be held in the council chambers of the city, unless otherwise noticed by the city.
FUTURE ACTION:
A notice of the cancellation will be posted on the City's website and on the posting board located at City
Hall. Departments will be notified of the cancellation date for planning purposes.
