RESOLUTION NO. 17-26 
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BUCKEYE, 
ARIZONA, APPROVING THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT (ADOT 
CAR NO. IGA 23-0009334-I) BETWEEN THE CITY OF BUCKEYE, AN 
ARIZONA MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND THE STATE OF ARIZONA 
DEPARTMENT 
OF 
TRANSPORTATION, 
FOR 
THE 
CONSTRUCTION, 
MANAGEMENT, 
OPERATION 
AND 
MAINTENANCE 
OF 
TRAFFIC 
INTERCHANGE AT THE INTERSTATE 10 (I-10) AND JACKRABBIT TRAIL 
INTERSECTION; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE 
AND DELIVER SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY. 
WHEREAS, pursuant to A.R.S. §§ 28-401 and 48-572, the City of Buckeye (“City”) and 
Arizona Department of Transportation (“ADOT”) are authorized to enter into an agreement for the 
construction, management, operation and maintenance of Traffic Interchange at the Interstate 10 
and Jackrabbit Trail Intersection (the “Project”); and 
WHEREAS, the State of Arizona will obtain federal funds for the design and construction 
associated with the Project; and 
WHEREAS, the Intergovernmental Agreement formalizes participation, roles, 
responsibilities, and coordination mechanisms between the City and ADOT to advance the 
Jackrabbit Trail Intersection Project. 
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Buckeye, Arizona, as follows: 
Section 1. 
The recitals above are hereby incorporated as if fully set forth herein. 
Section 2. 
The Intergovernmental Agreement is hereby approved in the form on file 
with the City Clerk. 
Section 3. 
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute and deliver the 
Intergovernmental Agreement and related documents, and the Mayor, City Manager, City Attorney, 
and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to take all steps necessary to cause the 
execution and delivery of the Agreement and all documents and other necessary or desirable 
instruments connected with the Agreement and to take all steps necessary to carry out the 
purpose and intent of this Resolution.
