PMO - CIP No. 109290 Gateway Enhancement Program - Miller/Watson - Job Order Contract Delivery Order #2 Brycon Corporation DATE PREPARED: 02/03/26 DISTRICT NO.: 1 & 2 STAFF LIAISON: Rodrigo Nemi, Project Manager, rnemi@buckeyeaz.gov, (623) 204-8442 DEPARTMENT: Program Management Office AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Consent Agenda Items / New Business ACTION/MOTION: (This language identifies the formal motion to be made by the Council) Council to take action on Delivery Order No. 2 to Job Order Contract (JOC) No. 2025088 between the City of Buckeye, an Arizona municipal corporation, and Brycon Corporation, a New Mexico corporation, related to the construction services for Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Project No. 109290 Gateway Enhancement Program - Miller/Watson; and authorize the City Manager to execute and deliver said Delivery Order on behalf of the City of Buckeye. SUMMARY PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This approval will allow the City Manager to authorize the necessary agreement to complete the construction of Phase 2 of the landscape improvements, which includes all irrigation components, plantings, water meters, and related work. Phase 1 of this project, not included in this request, was accomplished with Miller Road Expansion - Durango to Lower Buckeye Road by installing the conduit in line with the ultimate design. Phase 3 will complete Gateway Enhancement Standards. BENEFITS: The completion of Phase 2 of the landscape improvements will provide multiple benefits to the community and the overall corridor. Bringing the Miller Road corridor closer to the City’s Gateway Enhancement Standards will significantly improve aesthetics, create a cohesive and welcoming entry experience, and support long-term community branding efforts. FUTURE ACTION: Following completion of Phase 2, the City will proceed with soliciting and awarding any remaining landscape or corridor enhancement work needed to fully build out the Gateway Enhancement vision for both the Miller Road and Watson Road corridors. This may include additional planting, hardscape, or aesthetic elements to complete the final design intent and ensure long-term corridor continuity. FINANCIAL IMPACT STATEMENT: The project is programmed in the CIP in Fiscal Year (FY2026). The total cost to complete the Work under this Delivery Order shall not exceed $400,000.00, which is inclusive of the Proposal amount of $388,050.07 and an Owner’s Allowance of $11,949.93. Future costs for Phase 3 will be programmed for Construction in FY2027. CURRENT FISCAL YEAR TOTAL COST: The project is programmed in the CIP in Fiscal Year (FY2026). The total cost to complete the Work under this Delivery Order shall not exceed $400,000.00, which is inclusive of the Proposal amount of $388,050.07 and an Owner’s Allowance of $11,949.93.
