RESOLUTION NO. 11-26 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
BUCKEYE, ARIZONA, APPROVING THE AGREEMENT REGARDING LOCAL 
BORDER SUPPORT BETWEEN THE CITY OF BUCKEYE, AN ARIZONA 
MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND THE STATE OF ARIZONA DEPARTMENT 
OF PUBLIC SAFETY, TO SUPPORT THE ACQUISITION OF A FENTANYL 
SENSING QUADRUPED ROBOT; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER 
TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY. 
WHEREAS, pursuant to A.R.S. §§ 41-1713(B)(3) and 11-952, the City of Buckeye (“City”) 
and the State of Arizona Department of Public Safety are authorized to enter into an agreement for 
the acquisition of a fentanyl sensing quadruped robot (“robot”); and 
WHEREAS, the Intergovernmental Agreement regarding Local Border Support (the 
“Agreement”) formalizes funding in the amount of $272,988.81, with no match required; and 
WHEREAS, the robot purchase price is estimated at $400,000, and the remaining 
balance will be funded by a different grant awarded to the City thereby covering the full cost of the 
robot. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Buckeye, Arizona, as follows: 
 
Section 1. 
The recitals above are hereby incorporated as if fully set forth herein. 
 
 
Section 2. 
The Agreement is hereby approved in the form on file with the City Clerk. 
 
Section 3. 
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute and deliver the Agreement 
and related documents, and the Mayor, City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk are hereby 
authorized and directed to take all steps necessary to cause the execution and delivery of the 
Agreement and all documents and other necessary or desirable instruments connected with the 
Agreement and to take all steps necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of this Resolution. 
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Buckeye, Arizona, this
