Presentation and discussion on the update of the City's Integrated Water Master Plan (IWMP).

SUMMARY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The city's Integrated Water Master Plan (IWMP) was last adopted by City Council in 2020. The updated
IWMP will continue to guide the city in the development of future water and wastewater infrastructure
needs to meet the growing demands in a responsible and economical manner.
The city commissioned Carollo Engineers in 2024 to prepare the updated IWMP and completed the
updates in Fall 2025 following a peer review by engineers, developers, and the homebuilder's
association. The 2025 IWMP builds upon previous master report to plan for water resources, water,
wastewater, and reclaimed water infrastructure needed for the city to grow through 2040. Further, the
2025 IWMP establishes the road map for future infrastructure needs including treatment, conveyance,
storage, and pumping. 
Included in the 2025 IWMP are the following elements: (1) Introduction, (2) Planning Framework, (3)
Water Resources, (4) Water Master Plan, (5) Wastewater Master Plan, (6) Reclaimed Water Master Plan
BENEFITS:
Efficient and effective framework for the city's current and planned infrastructure needs for water,
wastewater, reclamation, recharge, and recovery.
FUTURE ACTION:
Staff will bring the IWMP back for Council action at a future meeting.
