RESOLUTION NO. 85-25 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BUCKEYE, 
ARIZONA, 
APPROVING 
THE 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL 
AGREEMENT 
BETWEEN THE CITY OF BUCKEYE AND AGUA FRIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL 
DISTRICT NO. 216 FOR SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER SERVICES AT 
VERRADO HIGH SCHOOL; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO 
EXECUTE AND DELIVER SAID AGREEMENT AND RELATED DOCUMENTS 
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF BUCKEYE. 
WHEREAS, the City of Buckeye, Arizona, and Agua Fria Union High School District No. 
216 desire to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement to provide for the assignment and 
funding of school resource officers from the City’s Police Department to Verrado High School. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Buckeye, Arizona, as follows: 
 
   Section 1. 
The recital above is hereby incorporated as if fully set forth herein. 
 
Section 2.  The Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Buckeye and Agua 
Fria Union High School District for School Resource Officer Services (the “Agreement”) is 
hereby approved. 
 
Section 3.  The Mayor, City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk are hereby 
authorized and directed to take all steps necessary to cause the execution and delivery of the 
Agreement and all documents and other necessary or desirable instruments connected with the 
Agreement and to take all steps necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of this 
Resolution. 
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Buckeye, Arizona,
