RESOLUTION NO. 86-25 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BUCKEYE, 
ARIZONA, 
APPROVING 
THE 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL 
AGREEMENT 
BETWEEN THE CITY OF BUCKEYE AND MARICOPA COUNTY AUTHORIZING 
BUCKEYE POLICE DEPARTMENT ATTENDANCE AT THE MARICOPA 
COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE DETENTION OFFICER TRAINING ACADEMY; 
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER SAID 
AGREEMENT AND RELATED DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF 
BUCKEYE. 
WHEREAS, the City of Buckeye, for and on behalf of the Buckeye Police Department, 
desires to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with Maricopa County relating to the 
Buckeye Police Department’s participation in the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Detention 
Officer Training Academy; 
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Buckeye, Arizona, as follows: 
 
   Section 1. 
The recital above is hereby incorporated as if fully set forth herein. 
 
Section 2.  The Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Buckeye and 
Maricopa County (the “Agreement”) is hereby approved. 
 
Section 3.  The Mayor, City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk are hereby 
authorized and directed to take all steps necessary to cause the execution and delivery of the 
Agreement and all documents and other necessary or desirable instruments connected with the 
Agreement and to take all steps necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of this 
Resolution. 
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Buckeye, Arizona,
