RESOLUTION NO. 66-25 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
BUCKEYE, 
ARIZONA, 
APPROVING 
AN 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL 
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF BUCKEYE AND BUCKEYE UNION 
HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER SERVICES 
AT BUCKEYE UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT; AND AUTHORIZING THE 
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER SAID AGREEMENT AND 
RELATED DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF BUCKEYE. 
 
WHEREAS, the City of Buckeye, Arizona and Buckeye Union High School District 
(“BUHSD”) desire to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement to provide for the 
assignment and funding of school resource officers from the City’s Police Department. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Buckeye, Arizona, as 
follows: 
 
 
Section 1. 
The recital above is hereby incorporated as if fully set forth herein. 
 
Section 2. 
The Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Buckeye and 
Buckeye Union High School District (“BUHSD”) for School Resource Office Services (the 
“Agreement”) is hereby approved. 
 
Section 3. 
The Mayor, City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk are hereby 
authorized and directed to take all steps necessary to cause the execution and delivery of the 
Agreement and all documents and other necessary or desirable instruments connected with the 
Agreement and to take all steps necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of this 
Resolution. 
 
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Buckeye, 
Arizona, this 7th day of October 2025.
