Council to take action on a one-time budget transfer of $867,200 between General Obligation Bond
reconstruction projects to accommodate vendor quotes on the projects.
SUMMARY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
On the evaluated roadway, age, weather and traffic elements have caused pavement deterioration and
full depth repairs along with subgrade reconstruction are required. The Public Works, Streets
Department, has recommended that the identified damaged pavement location be repaired by removing
the damaged asphaltic concrete, replacing the subgrade, then replacing it with new asphaltic concrete.
ADA (American Disabilities Act) Curb Ramp Retro fits and ADA (American Disabilities Act) driveway
modifications will be addressed prior to pavement reconstruction activities.
BENEFITS:
This pavement reconstruction projects addresses underlying structural issues by removing and repairing
the existing subgrade and base layer degradation. This project will significantly reduce the risk to the
traveling public by addressing the degradation and displacement of existing pavement. In addition to
improving safety, this project will enhance the overall quality of the travel experience, and the pavement
restoration will reduce maintenance costs for the city.

The net impact of the transfer will be $0.
50223170-543261 has a current budget of $2,600,000 and 50223170-543265 has a current budget of
$2,788,000.
The transfer of $867,200 between the projects will allow both to be completed as quoted.
