For over the past couple of years Shums Coda Associates (SCA) has enjoyed working with your staff 
to provide building life-safety services. Using a third-party contractor, such as SCA, allows flexibility to 
offer superb customer satisfaction during times of construction ebbs and flows.  
 
Our hourly rates are as follows: 
 
Clerical Services 
$47/hour 
Permit Technician 
$75/hour 
Inspection Services 
$55 – 118/hour 
In-House Technical Training (virtual) 
$150/hour 
In-House Technical Training (in-person)  
$2,000/day 
In-house Plan Reviews 
$100/hour 
Fire Plan Review/Inspection Services 
$100/$110 
Plan Reviews Based on Valuation 
65% of the City’s Plan Review Fee 
 
With these figures established, and assuming a full year of services, we feel the following costs are
