ACTION/MOTION: (This language identifies the formal motion to be made by the Council) 
Council to take action on the Construction Contract (No. 32500079) for Edison Avenue, Eason Avenue,
and Roosevelt Avenue, between the City of Buckeye, an Arizona municipal corporation, and Red Point
Contracting, a state of Arizona Limited Liability Company, to make public roadway repairs, reconstructing
existing roadway pavement sections within Edison Avenue / Eason Avenue / Roosevelt Avenue,
between 4th Street to Miller Road (1st Street); and authorize the City Manager to execute said Contract
on behalf of the City of Buckeye.
SUMMARY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
On the evaluated roadway, age, weather and traffic elements have caused pavement deterioration and
full depth repairs along with subgrade reconstruction are required. The Public Works, Streets
Department, has recommended that the identified damaged pavement location be repaired by removing
the damaged asphaltic concrete, replacing the subgrade, then replacing it with new asphaltic concrete.
ADA (American Disabilities Act) Curb Ramp Retro fits and ADA driveway modifications will be addressed
prior to pavement reconstruction activities.
BENEFITS:
This pavement reconstruction projects addresses underlying structural issues by removing and repairing
the existing subgrade and base layer degradation. This project will significantly reduce the risk to the
traveling public by addressing the degradation and displacement of existing pavement. In addition to
improving safety, this project will enhance the overall quality of the travel experience, and the pavement
restoration will reduce maintenance costs for the city.

FINANCIAL IMPACT STATEMENT:
Funding for this project is included within the first draw of the City’s Government Obligation (GO) Bond.
The cost of these projects is $1,368,913.70
