Other Considerations 
• Demonstration parklet and planters to be removed in preparation for DCR and 
repaving
• Crosswalks to be returned to high-visibility white crossing stripes 
• Lane widths to approximate final lane widths of approximately 12 feet
• Parallel parking to be preserved, temporary parking buffer to approximate width of 
future widened sidewalk
• Restripe budgeted within Downtown Enhancement CIP project
• Additional enhancements can occur after the 2026 restripe (e.g. plaza string lights, 
street furniture, etc.)

Recommended Action Items
1. Consider and vote to approve the a 3-lane section as the long-term lane 
configuration for Monroe through downtown 
2. Consider and vote to approve restriping the interim configuration to a 3-lane 
section within the next 9 months
