Council to take action on the transfer of funds from the General Fund Public Safety Salaries budget to
the Mayor and Council Department budget to meet expected costs for the remainder of Fiscal Year
2024-2025.
SUMMARY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Initial implementation of Resolution 78-24, which adjusted Mayor and Council salaries, occurred with the
first full pay period in January 2025. The salary increases were able to be partially absorbed within the
existing budget and this request addresses the increases which could not be covered within existing
budget. The FY2026 budget has been adopted at appropriate levels.
BENEFITS:
Transfer of funds will ensure that expenditures within the Mayor and Council Budget are within the
adopted budget and policy.
FUTURE ACTION:
No future council action required.
FINANCIAL IMPACT STATEMENT:
An allocation of $75,000 from the General Fund Public Safety Salaries budget (10002119-51001) is
required to cover the shortfall of the Mayor and Council Department budget due to the implementation of
Resolution 78-24.
CURRENT FISCAL YEAR TOTAL COST:
The requested amount for FY25 is $75,000 for salaries and wages.
