RESOLUTION NO. 48-25 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BUCKEYE, 
ARIZONA AUTHORIZING AN UPDATE TO POLICE RECORD FEES AND DIRECTING 
THAT INFORMATION ABOUT THE FEES BE POSTED ON THE CITY’S WEBSITE. 
 
WHEREAS, the City of Buckeye, Arizona (the “City”) is authorized and empowered 
pursuant to law to issue or cause to be issued obligations to finance the costs of various capital 
facilities and/or assets owned or to be owned by the City; and 
 
WHEREAS, A.R.S. § 39-129 authorizes the city to establish a onetime fee per copy, not 
to exceed $46 per video-hour reviewed, that is charged to a person who submits a public 
records request to a local law enforcement agency for a copy of a video recording; 
 
WHEREAS, the City desires to adjust the fees as authorized by state statute.  
 
WHEREAS, the City has considered the reasonable cost of reviewing, transmitting, 
making a copy of and, as necessary, redacting the video recording and other relevant 
information. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Buckeye, Arizona, as follows: 
 
Section 1. The City Council hereby authorizes and approves the Police Chief or 
designee to adjust its police records fees to the amounts and policies stated in Exhibit 
“A,” attached and by this reference made a part of this Resolution, all to be effective 
September 1, 2025, which shall supersede those currently in effect. 
 
Section 2. The City Council directs the City Manager, Police Chief, or designee to post 
information about the updated fee on the City’s website pursuant to A.R.S. § 9-499.15 
(F) and (G). 
 
Section 3.  The Mayor, City Manager, City Clerk, City Attorney and Police Chief are hereby 
authorized and directed to take all steps necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of 
this Resolution. 
  
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Buckeye, Arizona, on
