Council to take action on the Cooperative Contract Purchase Addendum (CCPA) (Contract no.
32500084) between the City of Buckeye, an Arizona municipal corporation, and Axon Enterprises Inc., a
Delaware corporation, for the purchase of body worn cameras and accessories used as public safety
equipment and software for the Police Department; and authorize the City Manager to execute and
deliver said CCPA on behalf of the City of Buckeye.
SUMMARY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Police Department seeks to establish a CCPA contract No. 32500084, with Axon Enterprises Inc. for
body-worn cameras and accessories for Fiscal Year 2026. This contract will provide equipment to outfit
officers with body-worn cameras and software, enabling the department to document public interactions
and critical incidents during police operations within the City of Buckeye.
The deployment of body-worn cameras (BWCs) and related accessories by the police department serves
multiple key purposes. These broadly align with improving transparency, strengthening accountability,
enhancing evidence collection, increasing safety for both officers and the public, and building community
trust.

FUTURE ACTION:
Buckeye Police Department will issue a purchase order using appropriated funds to procure the BWC
and accessories at the not to exceed amount. 
FINANCIAL IMPACT STATEMENT:

The total cost for the purchase of BWCs, accessories, and associated services through a CCPA contract
with Axon Enterprises Inc. is $486,498.67 for Fiscal Year 2026. Funding for this purchase is available
and budgeted in the Police Department’s FY26 GL public safety equipment and software budget. This
investment includes hardware, software licensing, data storage, maintenance, and training.
